North Kerry College of Further Education are currently offering a variety of QQI (FETAC) Certified and Hobby Adult Education courses in the evening throughout the school calendar year. Courses run from the end of September to the middle of May on both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings between 6.30 pm and 9.30 pm.

Conversational Spanish 

Course Details

This class is for people with an interest in learning to pick up enough of the language to be able to cope with everyday travel situations such as introducing yourself, booking accommodation, ordering a meal and using public transport. The class may be divided into two levels of learners, depending on the ability of participants.

Healthcare Certificate - Palliative Care

Course Details

The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to enable them to care for and address the needs of a person and their family after the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness, in a dignified, inclusive and holistic manner. Healthcare Component Module - Care of the Elderly

Course Details

Learners who successfully complete this module will understand the aging process and be able to meet the full range of needs of the older person, to enhance their quality of life, in a variety of care settings. It is intended that this module will prepare those that seek employment in nursing homes or as healthcare assistants working for public or private home-care providers. It may also be of benefit to those caring for a family member in the home.
